An aluminum bottle with a flip-top "mud cap" and twist sports top and either a BPA-free or BPA-containing lining. BPA-free bottles have "BPA-free" printed on the bottle itself. The interior of a BPA-free Laken bottle will also be brassy, rather than the creamy, off-white look of their previous BPA-containing epoxy lining. (This is the opposite of the old vs. new in SIGG aluminum bottles.) External threading.
Note: We have "high" confidence in this bottle's BPA-free status, but there may still be BPA-containing Laken bottles on the market. Our confidence rating is based in the company's aggressive statements that they are no longer producing BPA-containing bottles for U.S. markets and their clear, indelible labeling on the bottles themselves.
